WRITING & FORMATTING

Title

Your manuscript's title is the first impression potential readers will have of your work. It should be clear, concise, and informative, accurately reflecting the content of your manuscript.

Here are some tips for writing an effective title:

  • Clarity and Conciseness: Use clear and concise language, avoiding jargon and unnecessary words.

  • Keyword Optimization: Incorporate relevant keywords to improve discoverability in search engines and databases.

  • Specificity: Clearly indicate the research topic and the specific contribution of your study.

  • Avoid Ambiguity: Ensure the title is not misleading or ambiguous.

  • Formatting:

    • Center the title

    • Use a larger font size than the rest of the text

    • Use bold font for emphasis

Example:

Instead of a vague title like "The Impact of Technology," use a more specific title like "The Impact of AI-Powered Tutoring on Student Achievement in Mathematics."

Manuscript Length

While there is no strict word limit, we encourage authors to be concise and focused in their writing. The ideal length for a manuscript is between 5,000 and 8,000 words. However, longer manuscripts may be considered if they are exceptionally well-written and contribute significantly to the field.

Please note that the word count includes only the main body of the text, footnotes, and all citations within it. It excludes the abstract, section titles, figure and table captions, funding statement, acknowledgments, and references in the bibliography. Please indicate the number of words and the number of figures and tables included in your manuscript on the first page.
